The former has geological reserves of over 1 billion tons, and the latter has reserves of over 100 million tons. Photos: CFPChina's film industry is growing faster than the money needed to fuel it and many of its companies are now looking to issue IPOs in hopes of increasing its range and quality.Last year, China created a record 406 feature films. The country's box office revenue increased 30 percent to 4.34 billion yuan ($638 million) over 2007 and has realized a continuous annual growth of 25 percent since 2002.China's box office numbers pale, though, when compared to Hollywood. The top US box office hit of 2008, The Dark Knight, grossed more than $531 million. Number 6 on the list and a film that was a hit in China as well, Kung Fu Panda grossed more than $215.4 million.To date, no mainland film companies have ever been listed but analysts such as Zhao Yujie of China Merchants Securities told the Global Times that it's the right time for film groups to get listed.Zhao said between June and September of this year, the nation's box office income stood at 1.6 billion yuan ($234.3 million), or nearly 100 million yuan per week.There are not only imported movies but also domestic films, which gained large profits in China, making the film industry here a good investment, said Zhao.Industry experts agree. The [box office] figures shows the industry is developing fast and it's the right time for our industry to ask for financial help and experience, said Ren Zhonglun, president of Shanghai Film Group at the 12th Shanghai International Film Festival in June.China Film Group Corporation, the nation's largest State-run film enterprise, confirmed to the Global Times that the company is preparing for a listing on the Shanghai exchange.The group plans to set up a joint stock company next month and try to get an A-share listing next year when it's approved by the China Securities Regulatory Commission, said CFO Jiang Tao.Jiang said many significant investors have shown interest, including China International Television Corporation, Jiangsu Broadcasting Corporation (Group), Beijing Gehua CATV Network Co Ltd, and an AD company under China National Radio.China Film Group is not alone. CRISIS FOCUS: A Leg up for China Published: 14 Apr 2009 17:31:27 PSTThe ongoing financial crisis is taking a heavy toll on emerging East Asian countries, including China, with weakening exports, reduced investments and credit flows that have dried to a trickle. But a recent World Bank report predicted that China would be the first in the region to rebound from the deep downturns. Vikram Nehru, a senior economist at the World Bank, discusses why in the report. Edited excerpts follow:Developing East Asia is battling the forces of global recession. With a shortage of dollar liquidity, shrinking exports and rising unemployment, many East Asian countries are facing a dim growth outlook this year, those underdeveloped nations in particular.The governments in the region have responded quickly with expansionary monetary and fiscal policies, although in most cases these measures will only mitigate, not overcome, the contradictory forces operating on their economies. The World Bank forecasts that the emerging East Asian countries, excluding China, will see a minimum 1.2-percent GDP growth in 2009, reflecting the worse-than-expected unfolding of the financial crisis. Only China could largely hold up amid downward pressure and act as a driving force in the region because it has the following advantages.First, China has limited dependence on external financing for liquidity. Its banks have emerged unscathed from the global credit turmoil and are readily increasing lending, initially for infrastructure projects and also for both companies and households.Second, the Chinese Government has the fiscal capacity to put in place forceful stimulus measures. So far, the policy response to downturns has emphasized stimulating investment to bring the economy back on to the fast track. The combination of consumption exploration and efforts to improve the people's livelihoods will also inject steam into long-term growth. The advances in the service industry and rural consumption will render the vibrant growth more sustainable.Third, China's economic fundamentals are strong enough to allow policy-makers a greater space to fight the economic slowdown. For instance, given the prospects of continued large current account surpluses, Chinese policy-makers do not need to worry about a somewhat reduced pace of capital inflows or even some net outflows.With fixed investments recovering and consumer confidence on the rise, China's stimulus packages seem to be having an effect. Exports may also slow their pace of decline in March, but the external weakness will continue as Western economies are stuck in a limbo. One conundrum facing the country is the chilly employment that always lags behind in receiving support from stimulus packages.China's rally will have great implications for the rest of East Asia due to its weighty economic importance. A return to stronger economic expansion in China next year should help support growth in the region. Thanks to China, growth in developing East Asia will be the fastest among the world's regions. The country's contribution to global incremental output has surpassed that of the United States since 2007 and is now the largest in the world, underpinning its role as a key pole of growth in East Asia.Looking beyond 2009, the scope for faster recovery in the region will be helped by China, but will ultimately depend on the pace of recovery in the advanced economies. Shanghai-based retailer suspends J&J baby product salePublished: 18 Mar 2009 00:25:19 PSTMar. 18, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Nonggongshang Supermarkets Corp, a major supermarket chain based in Shanghai, suspended selling baby products made by U.S.-based health care giant Johnson & Johnson on Monday after a non-profit U.S. organization said its children's bath products contain carcinogens, the official Xinhua News reported.The retailer said it has to be responsible for its consumers and it will suspend sales of these products until they are proved safe, according to the report.The organization, namely Campaign for Safe Cosmetics, said in an online report on Mar. 12 that Johnson & Johnson's baby bath products are found contaminated with the chemicals formaldehyde and 1,4-dioxanne that can cause cancer.Johnson & Johnson, however, said in response that its baby bath products and all baby and kids' products are safe, gentle and mild products that babies' parents can trust and use with confidence. 第二天一上路，曹竞辉就开始给陈义明洗脑。“现在，我们来的内地同学，大多数都在忙着找工作、办绿卡，我俩算是先走一步。所以，我们的竞争对手全是韩商、台商。他们的资金雄厚，我们是无产阶级。这就是我们的优势。”“奇谈怪论了吧？只听说做生意需要钱，没听说没钱反而是优势的。”“这叫逆向思维。他们有钱，有些辛苦生意就不愿做。这不就给我们无产阶级送来了机会？”“照你这么说，我们的优势是没钱，所以敢拼。那我们的劣势呢？”“也是没钱。”“你倒是挺通辩证法的。”陈义明听得云里雾里，“我看车上全是伞，我们就卖雨伞吗？选择它有什么必然性吗？”“那是当然。我是做了好多研究的，你以为能碰上什么卖什么呀？让我来好好给你上一课。”曹竞辉得意地说，“我们没本钱进口货柜，又开不起店，就是有辆卡车。所以我们的产品必须是有一定的体积，同时又卖得快的。所以，雨伞就是一个理想产品。对雨伞进口商来说，送货上门成本太高，他们不愿做。而零售店又没有仓库，存不了这么大体积的货。这样一来，我们就有了生存空间了。我们今天是一辆卡车，以后会有两辆，三辆，直到有一天我们能进口货柜。那时候，你就不用这么满街跑了。”“你别烧饼画得那么大。咱们这第一辆车才上路，你的梦已经做到了社会主义高级阶段了。我只求你到那一天别让我开这坦克就行了，说实话，开这么大的车，我的神经真受不了。”“这我得告诉你一个诀窍：你心里一定要明白，是别人怕你，不是你怕别人。你胆子大了，别人的胆子就小了。你看着。”曹竞辉边说边把手中的方向盘一晃，果然把左右的小车吓得四散，有的死命地按响喇叭抱怨着。看得他俩放声大笑。“我们这么个大家伙，和谁碰一下，我们啥事没有，他准掉层皮。”“那人家不找你算账？”“在纽约，人人都忙得要死，谁会为那么点钱和你兴师动众？他们心里明白着呢，多一事不如少一事，最好的办法就是躲你远点。所以，你就放心大胆地开吧。”曹竞辉的洗脑收到了绝对的效果。第二天一早，陈义明就独自上路了。他脑子里非常明确地印入了曹竞辉的要求：快送货，多收钱。“货到付款。”曹竞辉在每张送货单上都大笔写下这四个大字。“你和客人讲好了吗？”陈义明感到责任重大，出发前又确认了一次。“讲好了。”曹竞辉言之凿凿地说，“这次我们给的价钱，比进口商的还便宜五毛，而且送货上门，不付现金说不过去。”陈义*里有了底。他对自己说，前面没有一件事办得漂亮，今天无论如何要干出点成绩来。第一家店的老板是越南华人方老板。看过陈义明递过来的货单，他疑惑地问：“怎么是货到付款？我和你们做生意，从来就是一个月的账期呀？你是那个曹先生的兄弟？你回去问问他是怎么回事，一定搞错了。”陈义明应道：“我们是兄弟。这单子没有错，是货到付款。”他又把曹竞辉给他讲的一套原原本本地说了一遍。看到陈义明这样确认不疑，方老板真的怀疑是自己和曹竞辉订货时没搞清楚。这时，又有客人进店，他怕耽误了生意，急忙掏出钱，把陈义明打发走了。“怎么会是货到付款？我这本子上记得清清楚楚：一个月的账期。”第二家店的萧老板是前几年从上海移民来的，他英文不行，只能在唐人街上租半间小店面。凭着在国内坐办公室的底子，做起生意来一丝不苟。两家店老板一个说法，陈义*里没底了。他又把曹竞辉教的讲了一遍，可显然不起作用。“如果一定要货到付款，你就把东西拉回去。”萧老板坚决地说。以往凭这一招，曹竞辉非得让步不可。“萧老板，凡事都得讲个诚信。我们是真心诚意想和你做生意，可你如果不能按大家讲好的做，我也没办法。”陈义明说完就往外走。一开始萧老板以为陈义明是在和他玩花样。可看他真要走人，不禁也有点急。店里的雨伞已经断了货，陈义明要是真不留下货来，他的生意就要受损失了。他叫住陈义明：“你别搞错了，是你们不守信用。讲好一个月的账期，现在你们怎么可以反悔呢？”陈义明转过身来说：“今天早上，曹竞辉亲口跟我说的，他和你讲好是货到付款，怎么是我们反悔呢？”“那是你兄弟在骗你！他一开始是要付现金，我和他讲，大家长期做生意，一定要有个放账，所以我们讲好是一个月的账期。不信你可以打电话给他。”听萧老板讲得这么肯定，加上前面方老板的话，陈义明真有点吃不准了。但曹竞辉现在根本联系不上，陈义明只好和萧老板讨价还价，最后让他付了一半的货款，把东西留了下来。出了萧老板的店，陈义明琢磨着他说的那句：“你兄弟在骗你。”他回忆着曹竞辉和他讲话时的神情，心想，这不可能。这恐怕都是客人和我们讨价还价的把戏。曹竞辉不会骗我的。可是，第三家老板还是对他说，跟曹竞辉讲好的是“账期一个月”。陈义明又糊涂了。感觉得到这位韩国女老板有点爱占小便宜，陈义明最后给她降了点价，总算是把钱收回来了。晚上，见到曹竞辉，陈义明开口就问：“你到底和客户有没有说好货到付款？”“有呀。怎么了？今天你收了多少钱？”“才四千五。”“什么？”“客户都说你答应给他们一个月的账期，这四千五还是好不容易磨出来的。有些客户实在不肯，我只能收一半或者让他们付一张老单子。”陈义明不安地说。“四千五？哈哈！四千五，不错，不错。”曹竞辉笑了起来，他自己也从来没有一天收到这么多钱。他本以为，陈义明第一天出去能收个一千多就不错了。看到曹竞辉喜出望外的样子，陈义明盯着他的眼睛又问一句：“你到底有没有和客户说好？”看着陈义明认真的样子，曹竞辉“嘿嘿”地笑了起来。陈义明相信那些老板们没说错。“你怎么可以骗我？”陈义明叫了起来。“什么骗不骗的，别讲得那么难听。”曹竞辉收起笑脸，“那是给你壮胆！你这么个书呆子，要不是给你点讲得响的理由，你能那么理直气壮地去要钱？你看，这不是很好？收了这么多钱，我们又可以多进货了。”“可你应该跟我说实话。”陈义明觉得曹竞辉讲的是歪理，可想一想似乎又有点道理。似乎是为了对自己有个交代，他又小声嘟囔了一句。“好了，以后你成了老手，自己就知道该怎么说了，我也就不用糊弄你了。”不管怎么说，陈义明今天的业绩证明自己选择他做搭档是正确的。曹竞辉心里很高兴。翻译公司 car sun shades 港澳游乳化机超声波清洗机 kitchen cabinets online lipo battery 深圳装饰公司环保空调
